Refund Cancellation and Modification Policy
At FareOKing, we believe in transparency about our flight booking services, cancellations, refunds, exchanges, and/or any other booking, or post-booking services.
We aim to present accurate itinerary details on our booking page. However, there may be instances where discrepancies occur in the displayed details or airfare at the time of booking. By the time we identify and rectify any errors, your booking remains on hold. If the fare increases during this period, you have the option to either accept the new price or cancel your booking.
Conditions for Refund Requests
We will consider refund requests under the following conditions:
- You have submitted a cancellation and refund request with us. Please note that cancellations can only be processed through a phone call to our customer support team.
- The airline’s fare rules permit cancellations and refunds.
- You are not classified as a “no-show.” No-show bookings are ineligible for any waivers or refunds.
- We are in a position to waive the refund fee only in those cases where we are able to get the necessary waivers from suppliers to process your cancellation and refund request.
- Some fees like Convenience & Service Fees are totally non-refundable.
Refund Processing Timeline
Since we cannot provide an exact timeline, please be aware that processing refunds typically takes between 60 to 90 days. This time frame begins from the moment you get the acknowledgment email for your refund request until the funds are reflected in your bank account.
The Process for Obtaining a Refund
When you submit a cancellation request through our customer service, you will receive an email confirming that we have received your request. This confirmation does not promise that you are eligible for a refund; it simply acknowledges that we are processing your cancellation.
Afterward, we will work closely with our suppliers and airlines to seek a waiver, which is subject to their specific policies. Once we receive their decision, we will promptly notify you. Please note that refunds are contingent upon approval from the suppliers and airlines. If approved, we will inform you; however, the refund may take additional time to reflect in your bank account.
*Please note that our service fees are non-refundable in all cases.
**Refund fee is applied on a per ticket, per person basis.
If the airline approves your cancellation and refund request, the refund will be credited back to the account used for the original purchase. Typically, refunds are processed within 24-72 business hours for cancellations made within the void window, and 4-5 business weeks for those made after. However, processing times may vary based on your financial institution's transaction system, so it’s advisable to review their transaction policies.
In the event that you receive a refund twice, you are required to return the excess amount credited to your account to FareOKing.
Exchange and Cancellation Policies & Fees
All confirmed airline bookings are completely non-refundable. In exceptional cases, you may be able to obtain a refund if you contact our customer service team at least 24 hours before your scheduled departure. However, please note that partially used tickets—whether for one-way, round trips, or multi-city journeys cannot be canceled or refunded.
Non-refundable tickets can only be exchanged for a new ticket at the same or a higher fare, not a lower one, for travel on the same airline at a later date. The exchange of non-refundable tickets is governed by the airline's service policies.
Airlines may impose penalties, and there could be a fare difference when exchanging non-refundable tickets. Typically, the credit for these tickets is valid for a limited time, so it’s essential to verify the specific expiration date from our customer service. To utilize the credit, you must book a new trip with the same airline, pay any applicable penalties, and cover any fare increases before the credit expires to avoid losing it.
We will only cancel a confirmed trip if the airline allows it. Generally, confirmed itineraries cannot be altered. While we can assist you in requesting changes to your confirmed trip details—such as travel dates, departure, or arrival points—this is subject to the airline's policies. If the change is approved, you will incur airline penalties, fare differences, and our change/exchange fees. For a detailed cost estimate for modifying your trip, please reach out to our travel specialists.
Changing a reservation, such as adjusting travel dates, can be a lengthy process, potentially taking up to 72 hours to complete. By proceeding with a modification request, you agree to waive any claims for damages or losses that may arise from delays in processing.
It is recommended that you reach out to FareOking instead of the airline directly for any changes to your itinerary or to cancel your booking. If the airline makes adjustments or cancels your reservation, we will be unable to assist you with those changes or process a refund, as the airline will take control of your booking. Additionally, the timeline for refunds in such situations may be extended.
If you choose to modify your booking, such as changing your travel date, directly from the airline may result in receiving an invoice from FareOKing for the modification fee and any penalties you are liable for.
There are a number of criteria we use to ensure that we secure the best-discounted deals, and unless the seats are confirmed, we cannot guarantee availability. There will be no liability on the part of our company for non-ticketed bookings until your payment has been deducted from your account. Due to the limited number of discounted seats that may be available for booking, we recommend that you book well in advance in order to ensure your booking is confirmed.
If you are unable to travel due to a medical condition after confirming your booking, Depending on your ticket type, you have the following options:
- Ticket Cancellation: If your ticket is refundable, you can cancel it by paying the airline’s penalty, as well as our service fee.
- Change of Dates: If your ticket allows changes, you can modify your travel dates by paying the airline’s penalty, our service fee, and any fare difference.
We maintain the right to charge a service fee for our assistance with booking cancellations, date changes, and exchanges of non-refundable tickets. For reservations made through our partner websites, we offer a 24-hour free cancellation policy from the time of booking.
Keep in mind that airline penalties, fare differences, and our service fees can vary based on ticket types, travel classes, and routes.
